Mid Semester Break Part 3 (Flashbacks in Bundaberg)
We drove 4 hours from Sydney up to Bundaberg to visit friends and see everything from when we lived there in 1998. The drive was pretty boring but we stopped at Noosa beach for a while but it poured for a few minutes after we had walked around so we decided to hit the road again.
The next day we took a tour of the Bundaberg Rum Factory. We weren't allowed to take anything electronic inside because they were worried about fire danger so alas no pictures. BUT the tour was really interesting, they showed us all the different steps along the process of making rum but my favorite part was certainly the bottling room. It was able to bottle something like 100 bottles a minute. Crazy. After that we visited my old school, Kalkie, where I went for first grade. I didnt remember very much but it was still cool to see it again. That night we had dinner with the Mankofsky family who owned the house we stayed in when we lived in Bundy. They live there now so were able to go back and see it even though they've changed it a lot over the last 14 years.
